IOBC: Predatory mite (Typhlodromus pyri)

The IOBC: Predatory mite (Typhlodromus pyri) assesses the effect of a substance on mortality of mite protonymphs, and the reproductive performance of adult mites. Protonymphs are exposed to the test substance dried onto glass plates or leaves, and mortality is assessed on day 7. Subsequent egg and larval hatching are measured at intervals over a further 7 days to assess reproductive performance.
